Pricing Panel: 7 Claude panelists argue over what you should charge (free Claude Code skill)
Last updated October 2026 · About 10 minutes · Skill: free (MIT licence). Running it needs Claude Code: Claude Pro ($20/mo) or Max, or API credit · Beginner

You describe what you sell and what you charge now. Seven Claude panelists, each a different kind of buyer or advisor, argue over the price separately, and you get one recommended price with the packaging and the lines to put on your sales page.
It's a free skill for Claude Code, and you don't need to write any code to use it. You copy a folder, prepare one input and type one line.
Who's on the panel
- The Bargain Hunter: counts every dollar and knows exactly when they walk away
- The Premium Buyer: distrusts cheap and would pay more for the right version
- The Rival Seller: sells something similar and knows where your price sits
- The Accountant: does the maths on hours, costs and margin, and sets the floor
- The Budget Holder: has to approve the spend and asks "worth it?"
- The Pricing Psychologist: looks at anchors, tiers, decoys and how the number is shown
- The Loyal Customer: already bought once and decides whether to come back
Each one names the price they'd set, votes BUY or PASS at your current price, scores it out of 10, and gives one reason and one fix. They don't see each other's answers: in Claude Code each one runs as its own Claude, with its own fresh context, all 7 at the same time.
What you get
A report short enough to fit in one screenshot:
- one recommended price, with the reason
- packaging: three tiers (or one offer plus an add-on), with what goes in each
- four lines for your sales page: headline, how to show the price, a risk line and who it's not for
- your pricing floor, worked out from your hours and costs
- one test to run with real buyers this week
The last line of the report says how the panel actually ran, so you always know whether you got 7 separate Claudes or one Claude doing 7 passes.
Before you start
- Claude Code. It works in the Claude desktop app (the Code tab) or in a terminal.
- A paid Claude plan or API credit. Claude Code needs a Claude Pro ($20 a month) or Max plan, or pay-as-you-go credit from the Claude Console. Each run starts 7 reviewers, so it uses more of your plan's usage than a single chat message.
- The skill folder. Download it free below. The skill file costs nothing; running it is what needs Claude Code.
- About 10 minutes for the first run, then a minute or two per run after that.
Step 1: Put the folder in place
Unzip the download. Copy the whole pricing-panel folder (not just the files inside it) into your Claude skills folder:
- Mac:
~/.claude/skills/(in Finder press Cmd+Shift+G and paste~/.claude/skills) - Windows:
C:\Users\YOUR-NAME\.claude\skills\(paste%USERPROFILE%\.claude\skillsinto the File Explorer address bar)
If the skills folder doesn't exist yet, create it.
Check it worked: this file exists on your computer: .claude/skills/pricing-panel/SKILL.md.
Step 2: Write down your offer
Write a few lines: what the buyer gets, who buys it, what you charge now (or "no price yet"), and roughly how many hours each sale takes you. A text file or a screenshot of your pricing page works too.
Check it worked: you have a short description with your current price and your hours in it.
Step 3: Run it
Open Claude Code and start a new session so it picks up the new skill. Then type /pricing-panel followed by the description of your offer (or the path to a text file or screenshot), then press Enter. For example:
/pricing-panel 6-week online yoga course for beginners, 12 videos + weekly live Q&A. Now $29 one-off. About 3 hours a week of my time per cohort.
It takes a minute or two. If Claude asks for permission to read your files or to start the panelists, say yes.
Check it worked: you see the report in the chat, and its last line starts "Panel: 7 separate Claude reviewers, run in parallel" (or "Panel: 1 Claude, 7 separate review passes" if your setup can't start subagents). It's also saved as pricing-panel-report.md when Claude is allowed to write files.
What it can't do
- It's a panel's opinion, not market research. It doesn't look up competitors and won't invent their prices. If you know what others charge, tell it.
- The floor is only as good as your numbers. Without your hours and costs, the Accountant states its assumptions instead.
- It won't invent proof for your sales page. Where a line needs a fact you didn't give, it leaves a
[placeholder].
Using the Claude.ai chat app instead
You can upload the skill as a zip in the Claude.ai app (Settings, then Capabilities, then Skills). Chat can't start subagents, so there one Claude plays all 7 panelists one after another. It still works, and the report's last line says so.

FAQ
Is it really free?
The skill is free: download the folder, use it, change it, share it (MIT licence). Running it needs Claude Code, which comes with a paid Claude plan (Pro at $20 a month, or Max) or pay-as-you-go API credit. Each run starts 7 panelists, so it uses more of your plan than one chat message.
Does it check what competitors charge?
No. It doesn't browse and it won't make up competitor prices. The Rival Seller reasons from what you tell it, so if you know two or three real prices in your market, put them in the description.
Is the recommended price guaranteed to sell?
No. It's a reasoned starting point from seven points of view. The report ends with one test to run with real buyers this week, and that test is what tells you if the price holds.

Turn a Claude skill into a $49 digital product
There are two markets for this and they are not the same market. On PromptBase, a Claude skill is a $5 to $10 item: across 52 priced listings on its Claude Skills page the band ran $3.99 to $19.99 with a median of $7.99. On Gumroad, listings in the same category run into the tens and hundreds of dollars, and $49 is a price people actually charge. Same file format, eight times the price, and the difference is packaging and traffic. This guide is how to build the version that belongs in the second market.
